This poem is the conclusion of my 12 Days of Christmas. I hope you enjoyed reading. This poem captures the childlike splendor and joy of the season.
Tiny tots glue their cheeks against store windows
Toy soldiers marched along artificial snow
The dollies blinked with all their beatitudes
Spirited ballerinas twinkle with a fiery glow
Toy soldiers marched along artificial snow
Twelve drummers ratta-tat-tat
Spirited ballerinas twinkle with a fiery glow
Model planes dive dangerously low
Twelve drummers ratta-tat-tat
Guns pop a cork and blast
Model planes dive dangerously low
Cherry red racers speeding fast
Guns pop a cork and blast
Train engine chugs on wooden tracks
Cherry red racers speeding fast
Young eyes forever hope the season lasts

Prayers (Pantoum)
Teach me to walk in darkness
Strengthen me when I am weak
Shower love upon me in the morning
May my words be soft and meek
Strengthen me when I am weak
Embrace me when I am lonely
May my words be soft and meek
Renew my life with purpose and glory
Embrace me when I am lonely
May my days be filled with merriment
Renew my life with purpose and glory
Teach me to reach towards the heavens
May my days be filled with merriment
Sweeten my life with your presence
Teach me to reach towards the heavens
Bring the joys of the past to my remembrance
Sweeten my life with your presence
Shower love upon me in the morning
Bring the joys of the past to my remembrance
Teach me to walk in darkness
Strengthen me when I am weak
Shower love upon me in the morning
May my words be soft and meek
Strengthen me when I am weak
Embrace me when I am lonely
May my words be soft and meek
Renew my life with purpose and glory
Embrace me when I am lonely
May my days be filled with merriment
Renew my life with purpose and glory
Teach me to reach towards the heavens
May my days be filled with merriment
Sweeten my life with your presence
Teach me to reach towards the heavens
Bring the joys of the past to my remembrance
Sweeten my life with your presence
Shower love upon me in the morning
Bring the joys of the past to my remembrance
Teach me to walk in darkness

Simply Snickers: Wandering Mind

This week's Simply Snicker's Challenge uses the words reflect, refresh, and resound. The accompanying painting is Portrait of Felix Feneon by Paul Signac. Here is my take using the pantoum style.
Reflections of a wandering mind
Zig Zagging along just fine
Shapes stimulate the eyes
Stirring visions of the mind
Zig Zagging along just fine
Shapes stimulate the eyes
Stirring visions of the mind
Zig Zagging along just fine
Strolling with a tune in his spine
Stirring visions of the mind
Resound like sumptuous wine
Strolling with a tune in his spine
Melodious fever rose from his feet
Resounding like sumptuous wine
He dipped in sunlight’s golden treat
Melodious fever rose from his feet
Sky patterns quell the blue like sheets
He dipped in sunlight’s golden treat
And swore the whistling winds said tweet
Sky patterns quell the blue like sheets
Refreshing the spirit, mind, and heart
And swore the whistling winds said tweet
Walk lightly till his fears did part
Refreshing the spirit, mind, and heart
And swore the whistling winds said tweet
Walk lightly till his fears did part

Resurrection
I compiled a pantoum poem to express the power and joy of Easter Sunday. I hope you all enjoy it.
King of kings
We bow to thee
The Lord has risen
For all to see
We bow to thee
The stone rolled away
For all to see
Drawn by the light, we stay
The stone rolled away
And he appeared like fire
Drawn by the light, we stay
A heavenly embrace of power
And he appeared like fire
Our spirits awakened like dawn
A heavenly embrace of power
The skies above part for the holy one
Our spirits awakened like dawn
The Lord has risen
The skies above part for the holy one
King of kings
King of kings
We bow to thee
The Lord has risen
For all to see
We bow to thee
The stone rolled away
For all to see
Drawn by the light, we stay
The stone rolled away
And he appeared like fire
Drawn by the light, we stay
A heavenly embrace of power
And he appeared like fire
Our spirits awakened like dawn
A heavenly embrace of power
The skies above part for the holy one
Our spirits awakened like dawn
The Lord has risen
The skies above part for the holy one
King of kings
