Endurance (Haiku Heights)

Hi all,

I have been away from blogging longer than expected. I am happy to write a new haiku for Haiku Heights, and the theme is endurance. Hope you enjoy!

Endless and timeless
Your words endure and echo
Speaking to my heart

Whispers Of A Girl

Hi all,

This is a poem I discovered in my notebook a few months back. I'm happy to share with all of you. Have a blessed and happy weekend:

Whispers
Of the girl
I used to be
With quiet eyes
Wishful knowing
Time to grow
My inner longing
Life is slow
Dreams are drowning

Whispers of the girl
I used to be
Fear’s the only monster
I’ll be leaving
I am growing
Determined rowing
To my isles of destiny

Notebook (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I've written the following poem for O.S.I. The theme this week is notebook.

I comb my thoughts upon this page
And turn it over on its back
As syllables rise and thoughts escape
I tattoo them on my notebook’s face

I dare not let a soul resurrect
The emotions that my heart has kept
No prying hands to open up
In secret do I bury my thoughts

Accidental (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

This poem is written for O.S.I. and the theme this week is accidental.

Unbridled tongue
Heated words
Was it accidental?
Unravelling from your lips
Incendiary speech
Purely accidental?
Kindling fires
Raging wars
Merely accidental?
Leaving scars
On my soul
Unaccidental

Written

Life is a journey
Written by footprints
Dipped in black ink
Paragraphs and page breaks
Commas and apostrophes
Thoughts raining like periods
Against the newness of day
Let us pray
For His sovereign pen
Tragedy is a sentence before victory
Love is only a chapter away
Let it be written
On pages that blink into day
The greatest stories of life

Liar

This entry was posted up for Write Up Cafe. If you enjoy poetry, short stories, and other creative pieces, you should check this blog out.

How long are your words
The size of a hand breadth
Stretching long like the horizon
On the coldest of sunsets
Sweetened in cinnamon
Or laced with malice
Do I detect
A hint of sadness
This is madness
Coy, cuddly words
Tugging at your lips
You think I am silenced
By your tongue
Your syllables kiss
Before they hiss
A liar awaiting
The wandering fist
