Sun and moon
Reciprocates light
Full and radiant
In blue dotted skies
Waiting to rise and sleep
And rise again
Crowning the earth
In continual splendor

Thankful Sunday II

The melody and vibrato of words
Beautiful metaphors
The discovery of new words
The aroma of a new book
Flipping to the next page
Singing to myself
A moment of silence
Smiles from strangers
Random acts of kindness
Digging deep and finding the answer
Saying yes

Sweet innocent curves

The river divides my tongue

In salty gulps

Blue and glistening

Swimming in sorrow

Hatred an epidemic

With a jealous knife

Slicing the soul

Into a thousand molecules
