Scarecrow (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I am writing a poem for O.S.I. and the theme is scarecrow.

Lonely, mournful scarecrow
Gazing upon October moon
Beholds the world through button eyes
And feels cold nights through his straw
Friends are always fleeting
Crows are old, familiar foes
But his heart is alive and beating
He dreams beyond the shadows

Oh, never thought how a scarecrow must be feeling! Wonderful poem.

I love your 'dreaming scarecrow' and his poem, W.G. ~~ I can feel for him, in the cold, fickle friends, bad eyes, out in the night, etc. But he endures with a proud outlook.

Today at the bank I found a little scarecrow, she was cute. My camera was full so I had to do a delete to get her in.

Now, to be able to post her picture. She was very simple dressed in peasant garb.
