Five Golden Rings

Hi all,

I used the poetic style Nonet to write my Fifth Day of Christmas: Five Golden Rings.

She chased five rings swimming in the night
Singularly gold, full of light
Spinning away from her sight
Eluding her, she cried
Leaping up, she tried
Finding the prize
She treasured
Her ring
Shine

Simply Snickers: Nonet

This week's Simply Snicker's Challenge uses the words vain (or vane), veil (or vail), and very.

I chose a very unique and creative poetic style called Nonet. This poetic form consists of 9 Lines (9 syllables) which gradually taper off to one syllable. If you are interested, please give it a go!! Hope you enjoy. The accompany portrait is A Young Woman and Her Little Boy by Agnolo Bronzino.

Portrait of a lady's decadence

Veil secrets masked in opulence

Young lad tucked in vain display

Peeking from her red dress

Trim and frills brighten

A very lost

Unhappy

Quiet
