Fly With Me

I stretch forth my hands
To those who wish to fly with me
We'll pass the time
You and I
Like birds gliding
On still blue seas
Don't doubt
But soar like Peter Pan
On grand adventures
To Neverland
We'll duel pirates
Slay sea monsters
Ride on turtles
And surf on waters
************************
Must you roll your eyes
We're only passing time
You say your too old
And you claim you lost your dentures
I am most sad grandma
So long until our next adventure

I'll go flying with you. I never want to grow up. Great images and feeling. Lovely poem.
I tried to post before but blogger would have none of it. Come join our poetry sites. Take a chance you will love. Thanks much for reading my work. Please do come again.

I enjoyed reading your poem. I love the invitation line at the start: I stretch forth my hands. It conveys a willingness to sail along with the innocent for a while. Keep writing!!
