Waiting (O.S.I.)
Hi all,
This is my Tuesday night edition for O.S.I. and the theme is waiting. Hope you enjoy!!
Pretty plum girl
Twirls her parasol
Waits for a ride
While the rain stains
Against her rubber boots
And waits for the boy
On his bicycle
To smile and acknowledge
Her newfound womanhood

Father's Day (Haiku)
Hello all,
I'd like to wish all the dad's out there a Happy Father's Day.
You watched me proudly
Take my first breaths in this world
And opened your heart
My help and first guide
Strong and brave, a solid rock
Yet warm and gentle
Unconditional
Love I feel as you lift me
High into the sky
And rest securely
In the spirit of your voice
I celebrate you

Wanting (O.S.I.)
Hi all,
Here is my unique take for O.S.I. and the theme is wanting:
She lacks nothing
A statuesque blond
Golden bangles on her arm
And lips the color of wine
Charm as light as the breeze
And a smile easy to please
So what does she long for
When she's looking at me?

Dog's Mona Lisa
Hi all,
Here's a freestyle poem I recently wrote:
He was caught in the rain
Poor thing, a sight to behold
Brown fur matted
And his paws
Soaked to the bone
And the boys whistled dog
No owner, no home
He wouldn't budge
The first streak of lightning
Fell beside him
And he growled
Now the boys were foggy sticks
Though he followed them
Then the Mona Lisa caught him
A silver puddle
Like a woman's face
Or an angel
The world was caught in her
Rain, earth, and streetlights
Swirled up to him
So he stretched his paw
And tumbled in
A doggie's paradise
