Wanting (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

Here is my unique take for O.S.I. and the theme is wanting:

She lacks nothing
A statuesque blond
Golden bangles on her arm
And lips the color of wine
Charm as light as the breeze
And a smile easy to please
So what does she long for
When she's looking at me?

Dog's Mona Lisa

Hi all,

Here's a freestyle poem I recently wrote:

He was caught in the rain
Poor thing, a sight to behold
Brown fur matted
And his paws
Soaked to the bone
And the boys whistled dog
No owner, no home
He wouldn't budge
The first streak of lightning
Fell beside him
And he growled

Now the boys were foggy sticks
Though he followed them
Then the Mona Lisa caught him
A silver puddle
Like a woman's face
Or an angel
The world was caught in her
Rain, earth, and streetlights
Swirled up to him
So he stretched his paw
And tumbled in
A doggie's paradise

Joy (Haiku Heights)

Hi all,

I am adding my verses for Haiku Heights using the 3-5-3 format.

Abiding
Pureness of joy mine
God in me

Life begins
And ends deep inside
Budding seed

In Love With Life

Hi all,

I am writing for O.S.I. and the theme is the phrase In Love With Life.

A sudden revelation
You the inspiration
A poem in your smile
Mysterious universe
In your eyes
Sunshine swept
Between your hair
And then I realize
You alone
Make my years meaningful
And life colorful
Love of my life

Black & White (O.S.I.)

Hi all,
I am writing this poem for O.S.I. and the theme is black & white.

Too young to know the wind tickles
Or bask in the warmth of other suns
Too young to feel the touch of mama
Or the lick of a puppy's tongue
Too young to hear the sound of music
Have its meaning escape from her breath
To leap when papa extends his hands
Or lean against him when she's sad
To freeze and shiver in icy cold
Or kiss the first December snow
But one night she glanced upon the stars
White diamonds blinking in the black beyond
And smiled as the perfect pair
Illuminated her mind and heart

Delayed (Acrostic)

Hi all,

I am writing the following acrostic for Acrostic Only and the word is delayed.

Dreams they may delay
Even graze in pastures
Long after fruitful sunsets
An eternity it seems
Yet they won't renege
Each passing day brings
Destiny full in bloom

Thoughts Raining Words

Hi all,

Here is a freestyle poem I recently penned.

My thoughts are raining words

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink
I find solace on the banks of your river

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink
I find solace on the banks of your river
You beguile me to your feast

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink
I find solace on the banks of your river
You beguile me to your feast
Your metaphors are divine to eat

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink
I find solace on the banks of your river
You beguile me to your feast
Your metaphors are divine to eat
The doors of your soul I find confining

My thoughts are raining words
I've made no sense of them
Dripping head to toe in black ink
I find solace on the banks of your river
You beguile me to your feast
Your metaphors are divine to eat
The doors of your soul I find confining
I slip from your window and fly like lightning

Depression (O.S.I)

Hi all,

The following poem is written for O.S.I. and the theme is depression.

Sweetness means more now
As depression settles clear
Just your gentle gaze

And the sun beguiles
Shadows of blue revealing
A summer kissed dream

Elusive (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I am writing this poem for O.S.I. and the theme is elusive.

Shadow
Large and yet elusive
Who is your maker?
What is your mind?
Where is your heart?
Shadow
So full of wonder
And full of darkness
That springs to life
Only in full light

Verdant (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I am writing this poem for O.S.I. and the theme is verdant

I thought the sign of spring
Would bring you home to me
I thought the fragrant grass
Would be too intoxicating
And the buds awakened
Be too illuminating
And sighs of birds in love nests
Be too exhilarating
Yet the emptiness of your touch
Is such that I do not look for signs
I pray only that the wind
Will bring you to me

Duck On An Island

Here is a duck that is alone yet content on his little island.
