The Passing (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,

This week's O.S.I prompt is The Passing. I used the poetic form quatern for this piece.

Light smiles...sunset’s lips are passing
Swept in summer’s dream, lovers gaze
The wind gives a generous swing
Lifting hearts when the sun pours in

Rise and stretch on tomorrow’s back
Light smiles...sunset’s lips are passing
Soak in the clouds, dew swept in blue

The ease of life served on a spoon

Love is kindled in nature’s arms
Heat and air rising with the tides
Light smiles...sunset’s lips are passing
Vivid colors peek-a-boo skies

Wrapped in the cloak of starry night
Eyes beheld the lone shooting star
Lovers weary rest their eyes above
Light smiles...sunset’s lips are passing

Interesting..I'm glad you included the link- I enjoyed your piece and liked how the first line (your choice as well_ is carried through in that sequence- nice!

Ah, those sunset kisses are sooooooo warming. :)

I like this, Katina. The allegory is very lovely also.
Thank you too for your introduction to the quatern poem.
