Desert (Haiku)

Hi all,

I am writing a pair of haiku for Haiku Heights and the theme is desert.

Hot love thirsts
In a dry desert
Sand burns toes

Dreams unquenched
Mirage holds her tongue
Shower down

"Mirage holds her tongue" That is probably one of the best haiku lines I've ever read. Spot on.

The second one is my favorite ... middle line full of power!

Really enjoyed the first one. The second one didn't make sense to me or present a consistent image for me -- perhaps I am not awake.

PS - I prefer ONE Haiku per post so that I have one image to work with. But that is me. Thought I'd share.

BTW, you comment on my blog got spammed -- I just approved it. Thanks for stopping by.
