Hi all,
I've written the following poem for O.S.I. and the theme is miracle.
Fledgling wings
A full moon
I cup in my palms
New life
And find within its beak
A miracle
Whole, full, and sublime
And so I gaze
Through the gray and haze
And find my bird
Circling me
With gentle coos

Blogging Hiatus
I have some exciting projects that I am working on in the New Year, which will take me away from blogging for a little while. Perhaps, I’ll be able to pop in and do special posts every now and then. I appreciate the love, support, friendship, humor, and creativity from each and every one of you. I’m taking to the sky like the birds and spreading my wings!

Inkpot (O.S.I.)

Hi all,
I am writing the following poem for O.S.I. and the theme is inkpot.
A river unbroken
To walk circumspect
Across broken dreams
Courage to rewrite her story
She could dry like clay
March out with the clouds
Dig herself and hide for winter
Or she can stand tall
As sunflowers in a field of gold
As the sparrow who opens his wings
She dipped her pen into her heart
And let the ink flow

Angel (Acrostic)
Hi all,
The following poem is written for Acrostic Only. The word I've chosen is angel.
At the edge
Needing a confidant
Grow giant wings
Extend your hands
Learn to fly

Try (O.S.I.)
Hi all,
This poem is posted for O.S.I. The theme for this week's prompt is try.
Have you forgotten
Brave, young soul
You were created to fly
Graced with wings
In adoration and love
Breathtaking plumage
Of a million horizons
The wind your guide
Destiny, speed
Try with all your might
Rise, take flight

Cocoon (O.S.I.)
Hi bloggers,
This poem is posted for O.S.I.
Spinning silk
Tightly round a tree
Stunning, white tapestry
Mummified darkness
Cocoon softening in day
Mild, yellow wings
Sweeping across the sun
He soared on faith
Sundown
Unraveling
Cocoon
Wings are
Boundless

Angel (O.S.I.)
The world drifted away
Crumpled in pools of blue
Kissing her soft, brown face
Sadness lingered in her heart
Her mind sinking beneath a rock
Her eyes lifted up towards grace
She beheld the sun’s angelic face
In gold and red, her eyes embraced
The presence of sunshine against her hair
Sweeping away her desolate world
She regained her strength to run
On borrowed wings from the sun
Crumpled in pools of blue
Kissing her soft, brown face
Sadness lingered in her heart
Her mind sinking beneath a rock
Her eyes lifted up towards grace
She beheld the sun’s angelic face
In gold and red, her eyes embraced

Wings (O.S.I.)
This week's O.S.I prompt is Wings and here is my impression:
Wings dipped into morning
Resting along the sunrise
Swooning on the wind's breath
Now fluttering to the sky
Prism of colors and design
Distinctly delicate and refined
Designed by heavenly creation
Soaring to the firmament with elation

Heavenly Wings
He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge...(Psalm 91:4)
Heavenly wings
Fall like blankets
Upon the oppressed
For in them
They find peace
And sweet rest
Heavenly wings
Fall like blankets
Upon the oppressed
For in them
They find peace
And sweet rest
