Roads (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,

I wrote this poem a while back but it seems fitting for this week's O.S.I. theme roads.

My eyes discern a fork in the road
Two roads stretched wide into the universe
Bending me into their quiet brilliance
Sun baking me in the desert
I'm sinking in red clay
Melting in the heat of day
One road leads to poverty, the other wealth
One is filled with sorrow, the other mirth
Yet, they lay before me like twins
There is a battle within
A choice of destiny and fate
Faith interjects itself, God's face is matchless
My weary soul sinks deeper
I cannot chose a road

Decisions are easier to make when compared to acting on them.

As my mother's wise words go:

If you ever find yourself lost, stay in one spot and you will be found.

but wouldn't it be so much easier to create your own road? right down the middle? a compromise much more difficult to devise.

We have so much 'what if' in life! Nice piece!

Perhaps the road will present itself and follow you!
