Woken Poet

Hi all,

I've written this freestyle poem to evoke the inner thoughts of the poet:

I woke the poet
From dreams of herself
Footprints along the edges
Of sandy metaphors
Created in hymns
Drawing her curtains back
Pressing against the brow
A thousand lovely sighs
Before she frowned
I woke the poet
From nightmares of herself
Lassoed all the loose syllables
And untamed verse
Cage less voice laying on the page
I recognized the words
When I woke the poet

This was a cute picture with some fun lines. Didn't I ask you once if you kept a journal?
Well enjoy your evening-

The lines show you an image, a motion picture..
So lively with a bit of wit..
Using vivid flow and simple words, the essence is natural..nice!

Speaking of metaphors, you are really good at it. This one is not an exception, they all seem to fit in nicely.

I'm glad she woke up! She has so much to write about, can't be sleeping on the job.
