Betrayal (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

Tonight’s piece is written for O.S.I. and the theme this week is betrayal.

He is perched
Along the rooftop
In tribute
To his friend
Though his eyes
Have betrayed
The memory
Of her beauty

He is present
In the scent of summer
In the rouge of fall
In whispers through grass
In the song of the breeze
As it passes through his wings

Though the days
And the age
Of his memory
Betrays her beauty

Okay, W.G, you've got me wondering what kind of bird was in your mind. The one I could envision had yellow but from there most anykind.
This is a wonderful poem, one that lets the reader be there with the writer.
..
I hope my eyes have betrayed the beauty of Mrs. Jim's loveliness.

In the scent of summer
In the rouge of fall
