Romance After Dinner

Yellow tiles and silverware
Come, let me play with your hair
The patrons glance but I don't care
There's only room for two

Come, let me play with your hair
My heart's on a plate and tastes of strawberries
There's only room for two
Your eyes make music like violins

My heart's on a plate and tastes of strawberries
An engagement ring floats in a flute glass
Your eyes make music like violins
Joy to kiss your lips all night

Romance served on a plate. Love this! The ring puts the seal on it. I really like the form of your poem as well as the content.

Aaawww to be in love. I wonder if anyone was watching. Silly thought but public displays of affection are sweet as long as they aren't too heated. I enjoyed the poem and the repetition. Thanks for the beautiful imagery.

Love it, W.G. ~~ My favorite line is "My heart's on a plate and tastes of strawberries ..."

I proposed to Mrs. Jim after we ate at a Mexicon restaurant. That wasn't as romantic, no strawberries.
..
I forgot to come back the other day, sorry to be late like this.
