Great photos and I love the poetry on your blog too, they really do go hand in hand.
Trust me on this...you DO live somewhere exotic , to most of the world! I am out in Southern California and life here is Hum Drum sometimes but I know that most of the world would like to be here where I am everyday. NYC has a lot to offer that we cannot touch .
There was another Skywatch view of the Brooklyn Toys R Us today! I loved it because I have been in that exact store!

I have lived in cities all my life. This summer, I am in rural Michigan. I feel like I am in a new world and enjoying every minute of it;"commuteless" if you will.
To some rural dwelling folk, those pictures ARE exotic :)

i may have to retire, as i remember waking in my sleep last night and getting an excellent view of the clouds (o.k. wasn't technically night anymore), opening my eyes and thinking, 'oh, lovely, I should get my camera' and then dozing back to sleep....

This is exotic to me - everything is subtly different to commuter life in the UK.
