Christmas (Acrostic)

I chose the word Christmas for this week's Acrostic. Here are some photos from my visit to Macy's in Herald's Square.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday!!!

Christen the rooftops white
Hail to the holy child
Red adorns doors and garnish
Inches deep in winter snow
Satisfying pies and treats
Tender embrace under mistletoe
Merry making and joyful song
Adventures through piles of wrapping
Seasons of love and giving

As they say, "Jesus is the reason for the season." Very nicely written, Ms. W. I was living every line and trying to keep in context with the first one.
..
BTW, we like that Macy's a lot. When in the city I generally go with Mrs. Jim and/or daughter.

Very nicely done (as always). And are those photos from this year's Macy's windows? Nice!!! We didn't go this year but I like them better than what they did last year ... I thought last year's were so busy that you couldn't really get a handle on what was going on. Happy Holidays.

Dear Poet,
If you are receiving this announcement, it means that at one time or another you linked an acrostic poem at Acrostic Only. We are in the process of preparing for our first Acrostic Only Anthology – Volume I. If you care to be a part of this wonderful project, please visit our Blog for more information.

We will be choosing poems to be considered for the Anthology from January – March, 2010. However, if you desire to have some of your work considered, there are a couple of deadlines you will have to meet, and you must email me your intentions to acrosticonly@gmail.com!

I thank you all for supporting Acrostic Only, and I look forward to another year poetic interaction.

Happy New Year to you, your beloved family, and readers!
