Evening (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,
I am writing this poem for O.S.I. The theme this week is evening.

He carried the evening
In his arms
The glory of the moon
And the heavenly stars
She opened her palms
Embraced the great night
Beautiful, black ebony
Milky Way swimming and bright

It's lovely, WG, and I have several meanings.

If the 'night' were spelled 'knight' it would be a wonderfully sweet love story. Reading it aloud might cause the listener to think thusly as it stands without the 'k.'
At first I was thinking God but unless you switched genders like one of the modern ways of writing, that would be out.
I believe that I will stick with the lovers and leave the 'knight' at home, alone.
Okay? :)
