Seeking (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I am writing this poem for O.S.I. and the theme is seeking.

Intense and full
Two strangers glancing
At a midnight moon
Seeking some intimate exchange
That requires their bodies
To balance the magic

A gentle rawness
Of hands and kisses
And heat
Of hands and kisses
And heat

Then he turns
To say something
Coldness in his breath
In the naked air
Of full beaming light

And the moon
Absorbed in her eyes
Her glistening skin
Blinds the sight
Of her tears

As unspoken words
Seeking to swallow
The night

Dreaming In Night Sky

Dreaming into night sky
The city slinks
Into a gown
Of shimmering lights

Happy Sky Watch!!

Rambling (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

This poem is written for O.S.I. This week's theme is rambling.

Us
Rambling
Foolish hearts
Sitting real tall
Shooting with the wind
Riding the morning sun
Chasing our stilted shadows
Following children after dark
Drinking in summer’s endless nights

Up
Rambling
The dawn laughs
Wet, new morning
Rain showers soak us
Dancing feet in couplets
Embracing the body of time
Riding on the surprise of love
Living and loving and rambling on

Exhibition (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I am honored to have my word featured at O.S.I. This week's word is exhibition.

Eyes of velvet night
An exhibition
Of creation
Heavenly light

Twinkling joy
Abounding wonder
Star gazing
In celestial oceans

Lend your eyes
Bend your light
Envelope me
In the beauty
Rapturous night

Evening (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,
I am writing this poem for O.S.I. The theme this week is evening.

He carried the evening
In his arms
The glory of the moon
And the heavenly stars
She opened her palms
Embraced the great night
Beautiful, black ebony
Milky Way swimming and bright

Night of Beauty

Hi bloggers,

This is a new poem I wrote inspired by the beauty and joy of the universe.

A night of beauty
In the mystic sky
An amber rose
Lit like the moon
Entices your nose to dip
Full, encircling like the eclipse
Velvet arms of midnight
Guide me towards twinkling stars
However high, however far
What a night of beauty

Midnight Prayer

It is the darkness, God, and I
Beholding the silver doe moon
Night's face timeless as the stars
Praying lips fluttering in the dark
The silence of earth and time
Beautifully swimming in the mind
I am full of hope and love
My prayer a lullaby of peace

Trembling (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,

This week's O.S.I. prompt is trembling.

Blowing in from the wind, cool sway
While darkness sweats long into night
She wakes while the moon softly plays
Her nightgown blows and meekly sways
Dreams alive in the stars above
Sweetened galaxies swim in light
His shadow rises, body sways
Trembling, their lips kiss velvet night

Night Watchers

I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word. My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your word (Psalm 119: 147-148)

Night watchers
Bow in prayer
Heavenly communion
Universal glory
And starlit angels
Be thy guide
To the Lord of hosts

Simply Snickers: Through the Reed

This week's Simply Snicker's Challenge includes the words read or reed and rest and wrest.

Look out through the reed
Waltzing with the breeze
We spy with our eyes
The dotted skies
Sweet ambiance
And pure reflection
Time and life
Embrace without detection
Morning's yellow glory
Wrests with night
The dawn yawns
With the twinkle of midnight
