Chaos (O.S.I)

This week's O.S.I. prompt is chaos. I'd like to dedicate this poem to the people of Haiti. May God bless them during this difficult time.

Crumbling world
Shattering all existence
Homes buried in rubble
The world tumbles
Flesh and bone
Bruised on stone
Cries to God echo
Echo

Deafening earthquake
Ceases all laughter
Pieces of life
Scattered like breadcrumbs
Sorrows shouted to God
God

Hear the murmurs
Screams of madness
A lingering sadness
Strong hands shall build
Build

Erect brick and stone
Reclaim body and soul
Rekindling love and hope
Hope

But fragmented minds
Reverberate in hearts
Spirits disillusioned
Who shall wake them
From chaos?

Nice poem, I like your form.
And it's very appropriate for the time.

This has really taken the world by storm and I feel that is where others now have the opportunity to move..(a movement)- in whatever way they can to spur into action. It is astounding what one will do in a crisis though (nobody is exempt)? They really need prayer. You've done a great job and really touched on the human agony and heartbreak here.

As always you have found the PULSE. You have
reached the heart of it. My desire is that in
time more sooner than later other will realize
your gift given to them.

Powerful words my friend. I hurt for all who suffer as we ask God why. Maybe someday we will know the answers that even the Angels know not way.
Excellent and well written.

beautifully done, well crafted and political/social without being overt.

You really captured the turmoil so well here. Well done. The "pieces of life" line really touched me. So moving.

Echo God Build Hope from Chaos – if you put the last words of your verse together. Amazing images and rhythm to your poem.
My heart breaks for the people of Haiti. I pray that they be spared more pain and that we find a way to buoy them in their resilience and comfort them in their loss. Thank you for writing this.
