The Crush

Artwork By Kuzma Petrov-Vodin, Spring (1935)

Shy, coquettish Laura Lee
Your lips anoint me like the buds of spring
I thirst for playful romps in the grass
To dive into your ocean-blue dress
But I digress cowardly folding my hat
As you are preoccupied with the world beneath
If I could live inside your great, brown eyes
I'd steal your thoughts from those blue skies

Oh that's wonderful! I'd fall for those lines any day! I love the line:

Your lips anoint me like the buds of spring

That's quite a crush! Hope she gets over being shy and doesn't let him pass by!

I'd steal your thoughts...

I wonder if he'd like them if he did? He might get a surprise - especially if she was dreaming of somebody else. lol
