Notebook (O.S.I.)

Hi all,

I've written the following poem for O.S.I. The theme this week is notebook.

I comb my thoughts upon this page
And turn it over on its back
As syllables rise and thoughts escape
I tattoo them on my notebook’s face

I dare not let a soul resurrect
The emotions that my heart has kept
No prying hands to open up
In secret do I bury my thoughts

The last of myself

I’ve extended myself too far

Let the murmuring cease

Let the heavens care for you
Nurture you from her spring

I’ll tend to myself

I know not why
Her eyelids lie
Perpendicular to her cheeks
Which casts a line
To a choir of tears
She hums but does not speak

I know not why
The moon is mine
Engaging eyes
His gaze is fine
I’d kiss his crown
Till sun goes down
Dawn’s song is slow and meek

I know not why
The world is full
Of candy sweetened rain
My tongue leaps out
Down the water spout
A blissful springtime fling

Hesitation (O.S.I.)

Move where the currents stir you
Wait patiently for the face of time

Welcome waves when they beguile you
Be cautious to opening your borders

Explore the limitless glory of the universe
You cannot reach your destination without a compass

Be joyous and carefree
Many tasks and chores await you

The universe is your canvas to paint upon
There isn’t a brush big enough to capture it

Stretch your arms towards the stars
How long until we reach our destination

Pour out all your love like rain
Be careful who you give your heart to

Strike the flames of passion and let it burn
A scented candle is much safer

Endless thoughts and contradictions
Alas, the heart is filled with hesitation

100 Posts: The Journey

When I began this site in February, my goal was to create an outlet for my writing and to connect with other creative people. I studied other successful blogs in hope of garnering wider appeal. Some of these sites had hundreds of followers, and I quickly became discouraged.

Overtime, I developed several blogging friendships. I am appreciative to all of you who have visited and joined this site. Thank you all for your kind words. You all inspire me to write, create, and expand myself.

Above all, I am more dedicated to writing. Writing is more than a hobby to me. Writing is my passion and my life, and I am eager to pursue a career in the professional world.
