Renaissance

The Renaissance in me
Would love to muse
With poetic greats
Listen divinely to Langston Hughes
Dreams deferred...
We'd chew away the blues
Observe the pen of Phyllis Wheatley
Ink of fire so distinctly
Running over with Anne Bradstreet
Time alone would be our beat
Raptured in words by Emily Dickinson
Woven grace my soul does listen
I'd avoid the road less travelled
To walk the footsteps of written shadows
And cross the glorious halls of Shakespeare
We'd concoct a play of sordid affairs

Would I dare
Sprint from the poetic world
Of a Renaissance fair?

Hi, if I may ask, can you please give me some feedback about the new story I wrote, it's called Save Me. I'm asking because you write very well and I enjoy all your poems
