Pause (O.S.I.)

Hi bloggers,
This poem is written for O.S.I. The theme this week is pause.

She paused
With each heart beat
Rising crescendo
Butterfly heart
Singing alive
She paused
Full of rhythm
And soul
Red beauty
Pulsating and whole
Laying her palm
Against her chest
She paused

I agree with Amanda--it really does have a sultry feel to it. Nicely done.

Neat and quickly developed, I get the feel of a blues or jazz singer - the physical shape of the poem also supportive - feminine, exciting - nice use of the pause.

Love the slight hesitations within your words, creates an elusive feel of romance.
