Hi all,
This poem is written for O.S.I. The theme this week is fancy.
It would please her
To permeate his skin
In deep rose and dusk
Her love satiated
By the gravity of lips and touch
How she fancied the evening
Starlit nightingales
And the moon
An island for two
The wind their orchestra
Universe etched in their names
But oh his incessant games!
Unromantic, unrepentant fool
He sleeps, growls, and drools
Candlelight for the lonely heart
She bottled the evening
Extinguished yearning after dark

This is a great poem. It seems to have such contrasts that makes it fascinating.
oh my, I bet so many people could relate to this poem. I watched the preview for Chocolate tonight on Netflix and there was a scene with the perfect answer for this.
I am her :)
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Love it :)
Thanks so much for your friendship, support and advice during my husband's job hunt. We're a little battle weary now, but we're trying to regroup and figure something out. I know we will get something one way or the other :) Thanks again. Hugs!
The images evoked are just gorgeous and I love the ending and the last lines are brilliant!
"she bottled the evening" ...it may have different meanings...it is nice to guess!
Just so lovely. I can feel your passion.

What a contemplation.. and what it could have been unbottling the evening and letting the yearning grow at night descended.. well done.. Right Girl..
The wind their orchestra
Universe etched in their names....
Indepth writing.
Open the door and let the dog go. Then sit back and enjoy the wine!
So nicely written and conveys so nicely the yearning, the desires and all.
Nice!
Love how you indulged us in her fancy. She bottled it up, aptly.
Look forward to the uncorking!
Write Girl you really rocked it this time.
WOW...WOW...WOW...Who couldn't feel this.
